Many Hands Make Light Work

Students and adult leaders from Second Baptist Church in La Grange, Texas came to Tejas Camp & Retreat Center this weekend for a community service project. The group of 60+ volunteers came to Tejas as a part of the church's DNow (Disciple Now) program which is a weekend retreat opportunitiy for youth groups. These 7th-12th grade students as well as the adult leaders accompanying them cleared brush and briars on Tejas property.

More Than A Retreat

Time at Tejas is more than just a fieldtrip to escape the tedium of everyday school life. For Central Texas Christian School, their sixth grade fieldtrip to Tejas has been a life-changing and community-building event that has helped the school grow closer together over the years.

I thought about writing a bit of an elaborate post to expound on the deeper theological meanings of these lyrics, but the reality is that this song really speaks to the redemptive work Christ finished on the cross. Books, Jesus, & Perspectives

Our Director, Paul, is very passionate about reading, and has recently encouraged everyone on staff here to read more. Personally, I love to read and the challenge to read just offered further incentive to keep doing what I have been doing.
